Welcome to The Little Roots & Bloom Room, a calm and caring space designed to support both you and your little one as you grow and bloom together.
I decided to set up The Little Roots & Bloom Room as this was a perfect way to blend my career as a primary school teacher & educator with complementary therapy. Before training as a complementary therapist, I taught in mainstream and special schools, I have been a SENCo and assistant head, and worked in teacher education- training teachers.
The Little Roots & Bloom Room focuses on the power of touch, to help you connect with your young one. Touch supports the release of our happy hormone on both the caregiver and recipient, helping you both feel relaxed, calm and connected. Massage and reflexology can be used to support your child’s wellbeing. Complementary therapies can be used alongside traditional medicines.

Discover how massage and reflexology can help you and your little one feel more balanced, relaxed, and connected- one gentle touch at a time.
Parent/carer workshops are delivered locally. I also offer 1:1 or small groups in your home. I can deliver toddler reflexology workshops online.
Each workshop has been designed as 4 sessions, delivered over 4 weeks, with the final week including some self-care for the adults.

Baby Massage
Baby Reflexology
Toddler Reflexology
Baby massage is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to crawling. Using gentle touch, eye contact and the sound of your voice, it can deepen the bond between you and your baby, helping baby to feel safe and secure. Massage may help your baby feel more relaxed and ready for sleep. It can help baby feel calm and comforted, and may help to ease wind or colic, and aid digestion. Some families have found baby massage has had a positive effect on feeding, aiding growth of both physical and cognitive development.
Baby reflexology is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to crawling. Much like massage, but with a focus on the feet, reflexology can have similar effects to massage, promoting sleep, easing colic and wind, aiding digestion. Based on the same principles as reflexology used with adults, it can be an effective complementary therapy. Through gentle touch, eye contact and the sound of your voice, baby reflexology can deepen the bond. Baby reflexology can be done almost anywhere, making it extremely accessible.
The ideal age for toddler reflexology is 18 months to two and a half years of age, however, it can be used with children from 10 months to 4 years of age. Toddler reflexology focuses on the hands, and is done with signing and nursery rhymes. Benefits could include helping your child to feel calmer and more relaxed, supporting emotional wellbeing. It may help digestion and stomach discomfort. Through gentle touch it can help build connection and reduce anxiety. Some families have found it helpful with tier children with SEND.
