


We can look to our essential oil properties to find remedies in nature. Although not as concentrated as the essential oils, adding these to your diet can help support your well-being and keep you healthy.
It’s cold and flu season so make sure you are well protected. I made these cold and flu shots, that can be stored in the freezer. When you start to feel unwell, you just pop one out, put in a mug and pour on hot water.
Add to a jug of hot water:
2 lemons. Juice of one and a half lemons. Half a lemon chopped up into small pieces.
A nob of ginger peeled and cut up into small pieces.
2 turmeric fingers peeled and cut into small pieces.
A couple of teaspoons of honey.
Leave to infuse and once cooled, pour into large ice cube trays and freeze.
Lemon– antiviral and antibacterial properties, helping to fight of colds.
Ginger-can hep support symptoms of bronchitis and anti-inflammatory
Tumeric– anti-inflammatory and antioxidant
Honey– antioxidant, antibacterial and soothe sore throats and coughs.
If you can, use organic products.
Essential oils should never be digested so this is a great alternative. Diffuse a blend of lemon and eucalyptus alongside drinking your cold and flu shot for added benefits.
